Langa is Anda's two-year-old little brother, and he is always on the move. Busy, funny and endlessly curious, Langa learns the way most toddlers do: by touching everything, running everywhere, pointing at what catches his eye, and copying whatever the people around him say.

Langa doesn't need a big vocabulary to make his presence known. A pointed finger or a determined little wobble across the room is usually enough to get his message across, and he's just as likely to repeat a new word as he is to try a new game. Everything is new to Langa, which means everything is exciting.

He loves soccer and animals more than almost anything, chasing a ball across the yard or pointing out every dog, bird and cat he spots along the way. He looks up to Anda more than he lets on, watching her closely, trying to keep up with her games, and often mimicking the words and songs she teaches him, even if what comes out is more babble than isiXhosa just yet. For Anda, Langa is the best kind of audience: easy to bring along and always ready to try again.

At home, Langa is doted on by the whole family, from his mom and dad to his granny and grandfather, who are always close by to catch him mid-run or scoop him up. He may be the youngest in the house, but he keeps everyone on their toes.
